Fuerzabruta

Wednesday was a hectic one; in the morning we signed our lease(!!!!) then I had to rush working on my CIS website, present to the class, followed by a French exam that I failed miserably, and I missed Lost because I had to do homework for MORE exams! Wednesday was also my friend's birthday, and he chose to celebrate by going to Fuerza Bruta last night with a group of ten, myself included.

Most of the group that I went with had seen it already and assured me that I would "LOVE" it.

And I sure as hell did.

It is a performance that interacts with the audience and utilizes all senses. Wind, water, music and a euphoric light show combine to be something you have never experience nor would expect to experience.

There are no seats; you stand for the 65 minute show and rotate around the space based on where the crew tells you to move. Dancing and jumping around is encouraged. Beware of what you wear because you do get wet in the end - My dress and hair were dripping wet and clinging to me, but I was dancing around and loving life, so it didn't bother me much. If you aren't looking to get drenched, stand to the wall in the end of the show.

Now, I can't shell out $75 to be seeing an hourlong show as I am not made of money! The key is the show releases 20 rush tickets 2 hours before the show for $25 a pop which is definitely a deal. Or if you miss out on the rush tickets, there are tickets available at TKTS at the Seaport for $45, still a bargain.

Well I'm off to write a research paper. Monday is my last exam!
