Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Wearing: Teal mesh cover-up, Guess bathing suit top, Gap jeans, Express sandals

I planned on posting yesterday, but I had bit of an exciting day.

Here I am at Battery Park sitting in a beautiful field. There was a cool breeze that was really refreshing, considering how hot the sun was! I felt weird at first about taking my shirt off to full out tan, but sun is always top priority for me, so eventually it came of. I went attempting to write a paper, but didn't get very far with it. My friend and I had a picnic of fresh mango that I picked up from Costco, some organic granola, SoBe lifewaters, and paninis from my school's cafe. We jammed to a playlist I mixed up of Bob Marley and Sublime, and procrastinated in my PhotoBooth application.

Fun with PhotoBooth:

Hahah, we're silly. Doesn't the background look fake? It's not I swear!

After sunbathing for a few hours, we realized we had to start getting ready for our friend's surprise birthday party on Staten Island. We ended up missing the 6 o'clock ferry so I got some juice and pita chips to snack on. When it came time for us to catch the 6:30, it was so hot in the ferry terminal and there were so many people, all of a sudden my vision went black and I passed out cold, almost getting trampled by the rushing commuters! Thanks to the kind strangers who stood with me to make sure I was okay, especially to the nurse who really had my safety as her top priority!
Obviously I didn't end up going to the party. I came back to my room and fell asleep watching Iron Chef. Now I have to get back to that paper I keep putting off.

I'll leave you with these hot shoes from Marni. Imagine me passing out in these? Falling from 5'10 is better than falling from 6'4, don't you agree?

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM ♥ I LOVE YOUU

  1. Oh! Birthday wishes to your mum too! Your probably the first American i know who spells "mom" as "mum"! There's conflict between cultures in my family which is the only reason i notice.

Killer Marni heels. I think I'd definitely sprain my ankle. But who can resist a photo session with the likes of Bob Marley on the side... Nobody
